It is quite exceptional such challenging work is shown and Roosen being asked once again to talk about the position of women in the Arabic world. She will give a two day workshop for yough Syrian artists. Director Merel de Groot travels with her.

The concept of Alzheimer's disease is not common knowledge in a area where phisicality and nutidy are being a taboo. Elderly people are often cared for at home, but also kept away from the world.
The International Women's Art Festival promotes and supports yough artists. Aspecially women artists don't get much space and development opportunities. The art scene is often subject to censorship and the festival fights for their right to exist every year.
